Good morning and welcome to day 2 of Welcome Home Management’s Summer Conference!
Day 1 of the conference featured several speakers including many of our own team members who shared their knowledge on a number of timely topics including Falls Management, Recruiting and Hiring, as well as panel discussion with the team from Excelsior Place who talked about how to handle a sudden increase in services and how they worked as a team. Thank you to Loree, Jane, Tracy and Amy for sharing their story with us. We also had a panel discussion with Roman Bloemke, Jacob Work and Katie May on marketing ideas.
The second day is focusing on outside speakers. First up this morning is the Alzheimer’s Association, then Dick Edwards and Ruth Weispfenning will be joining us to talk about their book, “Mom, Dad … Can We Talk? Insight and Perspectives to Help Us Do What’s Best for Our Aging Parents“, then Shelly Wagner from the Grace Unit will be here for a session on working with residents who have memory loss.
Speakers for Day 3 are more about motivation. Our first session will be Sarah Work, Director of Administration who will present on Advocacy at the State Capitol; then Roman Bloemke, Director of Administration will give a session on customer expereience entitiled “Pupose, People, and Passion”. Our last session of the day will be give by Pat Lang called 210 Degrees.
