Friends of Thomas Landing,
Several weeks ago, we announced the purchase of Thomas Landing by Bear Paw Properties. In effect, the previous ownership group expanded the ownership structure to include members of our families. Each member of the new group has been affiliated with Thomas Landing since the day we started to build the community through to today. Members of the ownership group bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in senior living to our community.
Today, Bear Paw Properties is announcing that the name of Thomas Landing will be changed to Woodstone Senior Living Community.
Bear Paw Properties also owns senior living communities currently under construction in New Ulm, Minnesota and Hutchinson, Minnesota. For identification purposes, we believe all the properties should have the same name.
Thomas Landing was originally named after Thomas Doran who had a very close relationship with our predecessor company, Welcome to our Home, LLC. Mr. Doran was a leader in the senior living arena and was a mentor to the principals of Welcome to our Home. We will continue to honor the memory of Mr. Doran by naming our community room after him. The community room will now be known as the Doran Community Room.
There will be other changes that you will notice as we continue to convert to Woodstone Senior Living Communities. We plan to retain all the good things that were happening at Thomas Landing and make improvements where necessary.
Most important, you are going to see a recommitment of our staff to providing you the very best client experience. This re-dedication is already happening and we believe you will see immediate results.
Jacob Work is taking over as temporary Executive Director and Certified Manager. He is a long time regional director at Welcome Home Management, and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position. He will remain as site ED/Manager until a permanent Executive Director is named. He has been involved at Thomas Landing since the start and now is helping reshape Woodstone Senior Living for what it will become in the future.
We will also be working on new signage for the building and on the bus very soon. We are also in the process of developing a new website for the Woodstone group of properties and will notify you when that becomes available.
