What a great week it has been so far! Our week started with a fantastic grand opening at Thomas Landing. A great big congratulations to the entire staff at Thomas Landing for putting on one of the smoothest running grand openings we’ve seen. All of you are awesome and did such a great job!
Not slowing down
The rest of this week will be busy as well. Throughout the next three days, WHMC is hosting education workshops for various departments from the communities. We are certainly getting a lot of use out of our new conference center! On Tuesday, the Lead Care Managers were here to learn from RJF Insurance Companies about Work Comp issues and how they can affect change in a positive way. They also spent time talking with Jacob Work, our Regional Director about documentation. The final part of the day was spent with Roman Bloemke, our Director of Operations in a town hall type of format. They asked great questions and discussed how to be a great role model in their communities.
Today (Wednesday) holds a loud and fun group and if you ask some of our residents, the “life of the party”. All of our Community Life Coordinators are in town for their workshop. Topics for today include “Being a role model”, “Programming for residents with memory loss”, and “How to unstick, when you’re stuck in a rut”. Always a fun group, today should be a great time with lots of ideas coming out of the discussion time.
Tomorrow (Thursday) our Director’s of Resident Services, RNs, and Memory Care Coordinators are here to wrap up our workshop series. A good portion of the day will be spent in “class room” settings. To begin the day, RJF Insurance Company will be here to discuss Work Comp and and Jacob Work will discuss the new Safety Committee format. Sarah Work will spend time going over policy review and policy update. The end of the day will be spent going through the certification course on Drug Screening.
Always a busy time here at Welcome Home. The one constant theme this week; we continue to be amazed at just how great our team is. Each and every one of the team members here at Welcome Home (and we are talking about each of you in the communities) is simply the best. Thanks again for everything you do!
