This morning we began new team orientation at Garnette Gardens Senior Living Community in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Whenever you are starting are starting a new community, building a perfect team that works together and cares for each other is always a priority. We feel we’ve always done a pretty good job at it, but the feeling of being part of something always comes from within.
Sometimes it can be tricky getting every0ne introduced and getting them to care about each other. It’s even tougher when there is an expansion project and there are new team members joining the group. As we’ve been sitting here in orientation sessions, we’ve been talking about customer experience and caring for your team members and being part of a bigger team. Well, the team at Garnette Gardens has outdone themselves. While in the middle of talking about customer experience, something pretty cool happened. The current team members here just walked in to the room with gift and welcome bags for all of the new team members. What a very cool touch. They all introduced themselves to the new staff and each team member had a bag for the one of the new team members.
It was a neat moment as the team becomes one. When you begin talking about caring for each other, the team members walking in and introducing themselves went a long way. It’s something that will be remembered for a long time.
Great job of welcoming everyone to the family! Welcome aboard to all fo the new team members!
