Sarah Work represented Welcome Home at today’s AARP’s International Idea Exchange Series, being held at the Minnesota History Center.
This series is a round table discussion on “Improving Health and Saving Budget Dollars through Innovation in Home Health Care Delivery.” This is an opportunity to examine new and emerging home care models and exchange ideas with an innovative homecare provider from the Netherlands, Buurtzorg Nederland
Today’s featured speaker is Jos de Blok. Jos de Blok is the Director and Founder of Buurtzorg Nederland, an innovative home health care organization based in Holland which has won numerous awards since its creation in 2007. A very recent study by Ernst & Young indicates that the new delivery system put in place by Buurtzorg Nederland has resulted in significant government savings while improving the quality of care for the clients it serves.
