This year’s nominee’s are:
- Diane Wuebkers

- Lexie Bosh
- Nikki Kramer
- Carly Kramer
- Sara Gieseke
- Cindee Schewe
- Shirley Degavinnie
- Amber Running Bear
- Hannah Walberg
- Amber Bryant
- Jenna Gruenhagen
- Teresa Kobernick
This year, we had a really hard time choosing who was going to win the award. After reviewing stacks of documents on each candidate, there were three people who just couldn’t be denied. So this year, we are awarding three North Star Leadership trophies. And just as in year’s past, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.
Our North Star Leadership Award winners are:
Amy Anderson
When Amy was first nominated for this award, we were amazed by the amount of supporting letters for her nomination. From residents, to coworkers, to her own children, the letters painted a picture of someone who is a vital member of the team at Potter Ridge.
As Trincy Faas and Linda Beyers accepted the award on her behalf, both were brought to tears when talking about how much she means to the organization. “She is someone who is always there for our team. She’s always there with the right comment at the right time, and is always willing to step in and help out wherever possible.” stated Trincy Faas, Executive Director at Potter Ridge.
Cindee Schewe
Cindee was nominated initially by her Executive Director, Yvonne Shell, but it was the letters that poured in from family members and a local pastor that put Cindee in as one of our award winners.
“Cindee keeps my mother and all of the residents moving, entertained, and doing activities that really enrich their last years. As a company, you should feel very fortunate to have her as a dedicated employee who really has a mission to do what she does. I feel very fortunate that my mother is where is is and Cindy really cares for her as she does for all of the residents. I am certain their lives are greatly extended because of her.” Patrick Esser, resident’s family member.
Diane Wuebkers
Diane was nominated by many members of her team at Legends at Heritage Place, including her Executive Director, Charles Huyink.
He goes on to say, “Many times in a the professional sports world, one is asked if they could start a team, whether it’s football, basketball, or baseball, who would be the first player they would pick to start that team. Using that analogy, if I was starting a new community, Diane would be my first pick as an employee. We would not be the same if she was not part of Legends at Heritage Place.”
“I am really proud of all of our team members. Those that were nominated and those that won the North Star Leadership Award this year. As with every year, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as we read each of the letters that were sent in for our team. We have an unbelievable team of dedicated, caring individuals who work in our communities. I love the opportunity to celebrate the great work that happens in our communities day in, day out.” said Roman Bloemke, Director of Operations at Welcome Home.
